    Obanner Sandra now digitally enhanced

Smarty pants Ms. Sandra Zerr graduated from a very prestigious programme over the weekend. Big congratulations to her from everyone at Oban. Here she tells us a bit about the ceremony:

Sandra with Rachel and Sarah, our clients from International Personal Finance (IPF).

Finally – Friday 7th November, we all gathered at the lovely Royal Geographical Institute in South Kensington for the IDM Graduation Ceremony.

Following several months of hard work, assignments and exams, we received our diverse qualifications such as the Diploma or Certificate in Digital Marketing, B2B Marketing, Direct Marketing, Interactive Marketing, etc.

After the official graduation ceremony during which everyone received the ‘official paper’ from Simon Hall and several speeches later, we could believe it – we made it!

(Some of) the Cert DigM gang!

We had achieved another qualification – and it didn’t come easy – but now I’m a proud holder of the Certificate in Digital Marketing, and an experience richer. Met lovely people during the course, ah and learned more about the crazy digital world.

Big thanks to the IDM and James Matthewson, our shepherd, torturer and tutor.

    Cheers! Sandra

Despite all the Obama-McCain hype that fills nearly every section of the paper (somehow even the national sections), the articles were plentiful.

Now I sit in front of the computer with four article clippings that I’ve cut out over the last two weeks. These articles struck me as incredibly relevant to any business looking at global markets. This is my attempt to make a deduction from them.

First I’ll summarise each article: (more…)

Running PHP4 and PHP5 together on Leopard

Oban’s techster Mark has written us up a nice long walkthrough for installing PHP 4 on the Mac – useful for those annoying pieces of software that always seem demand it! The article assumes some knowledge with the terminal…

I have a new(-ish!) toy – a shiny Mac Mini! Its a lovely piece of kit and thats all i’m going to say about the hardware as I’m 3 years late to the party and a million other bloggers have expounded upon the virtues of the Mac Mini and Apple in general.

Unfortunately until I can convince our Finance Director that a home theatre in the office is absolutely imperative, the Mac mini is going to be put to work. (more…)
