Firefox, translated into South American Quechua

The free and open source web browser Mozilla announced at the beginning of February that the Internet browser Firefox will soon be available in Quechua, a native South American language that is spoken in the Andes. Today approximately 4 million people speak Quechua in Peru, according to estimates.

Luis von Ahn, the founder and former CEO of ReCAPTCHA, Inc., and an associate professor of computer science, is working on a courageous new project that will provide a free way to learn languages and by that means, translate the Web.
