Anybody keeping an eye on the news will be aware of Rupert Murdoch's impending catastrophe. More and more potential buyers renounced their bid for MySpace and left the negotiations altogether. Shortly before Murdoch's self set deadline, the offers for the social network MySpace were way below the 100 million dollar mark.

To Murdoch's frustration, last Thursday, the network that was once valued at 580 million dollars changed hands for just 35 million dollars.

Well, for Estonia this is a reality. Just as they’ve prepared to take the EURO on as their currency, the smallest of Baltic countries was hit by the GFC. Estonia’s economy has dropped by 36% and therefore they’ve lost their eligibility for the Euro which requires that any participating countries’ public finances are in good shape and the exchange rate and prices are stable.

Latest reports revealed that Facebook and the Chinese search company "Baidu" are considering a deal for a new social Network in China.

As of March 31st 2011, Facebook had as many as 664 million subscribers worldwide, meaning that one third of worldwide internet users are signed up to Facebook.

The creation of the new Chinese networking platform would mean another big step in Facebook's attempt to conquer the world.
