A Twitter phenomenon in Venezuela

Despite only one third of 30 million Venezuelans being active internet users, the country has ranked 3rd in the list of the top Tweeting countries in the world, a Comscore report has announced (August 2010). Following Indonesia and Brazil, Twitter has a 19.0% reach in Venezuela. Latin America experienced the biggest growth in Twitter usage, growing 305% since 2009.

Venezuelan President Leads Twitter Revolution

ComScore report announced yesterday the worldwide growth of  Twitter, and there were some very interesting discoveries.

Twitter audience has more than doubled in the past year, with 93 million people visiting the site in June 2010 (excluding visits via Twitter applications), 109% more than in 2009. The site experienced strong growth across all regions.
