P&G first began International SEM activities in 2007 to test viability for its product offers online and to measure the ROI against other media they had traditionally used. The international SEM activities have been so successful that P&G extended both budget allocation and search engine activity beyond local versions of Google to include a wider range of local search engines in each market. International SEM has now been given high priority within the company and within budget allocations. OBAN continue to work with P&G on a number of SEM and SEO projects globally.
